FIGHTING FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED
March 30, 2009 by Matt
A great event is taking place on April 4th at the Hammond Civic Center: The Supercop Boxing and Grappling Tournament. For 13 years this tourney has been raising funds for law enforcement charities, such as the 100 Club of Cook County and the CPD Memorial foundation.
There will be combatants from local MMA schools in the event. One of them is Dan Linnane, a veteran officer of the CPD. He’s currently training out of CFC and also grapples at the Uflacker Academy.
If you are an officer and would like to participate you can can call Rob at 773.368.6761 or 847.669.7833, or send an e-mail to: info@supercopboxing.com.
For tickets to the event, visit Supercop Boxing. Doors open at 5:30 pm, with the event being started by the Emerald Society at 7:30 pm. Fighter weigh-ins will be at starting at 4pm and rules meeting and draw at 6pm.
This is a great opportunity to see a night full of fights and support local law enforcement at the same time.
