JEFF CURRAN IN A “SUNSHINE STATE” OF MIND FOR WEC 40
March 19, 2009 by searstapper
Crystal Lake’s Jeff Curran is making sure he is prepared in every way for his next WEC fight. The Big Frog makes his debut in a new weight class against a hot up and coming fighter in Joseph Benavidez. Curran competed in the 155 pound division in the UFC, challenged Uriah Faber for the WEC’s 145 pound title, and now looks for new life in the 135 pound division after dropping his last two fights at featherweight. The 31 year-old is currently in Florida working out with both American Top Team and ADCC Champion Marcello Garcia. In part one of a two part interview he talked with Chicago’s MMA reporter L.J. Tabano to explain how his week in the “Sunshine State” is helping him both physically and mentally, as well as his progress cutting to bantamweight.
Jeff is keeping a daily video blog of his training leading up to WEC 40. Click here to watch it.

LJ & Jeff-
Killer job. That is the type of in-depth interview that I believe people want to hear. We got we wanted about how Jeff’s preparing for WEC 40, but we also got to know a bit of his personal side and how hard it is to balance everything.
