Felice Herrig is never one to shy away from juggling several tasks at once.  Last year she spread her time competing in the World Combat League, fighting in a couple Muay Thai matches (winning a belt along the way), hooking up with The Midwest Training Center to begin training mixed martial arts and co-hosting the TV show Combatwire.  You’re going to hear a lot from her again in the next couple months as she prepares to mix it up in the Xtreme Fighting Organization, and also returns to television when she competes on the Ultimate Women Combat.

The Fight Girls alum is preparing for life in front of the camera once again when she participates in a new show called Ultimate Women Combat.  It is produced by Warrior Promotions, a company based in the U.K. best known for the promotion Cage Warriors.  This show features a who’s who of MMA personalities. “I had the time of my life on “Fight Girls” just being able to train with so many woman who shared the same passion was a beautiful thing and  a great chapter in my life,” says the 24 year old.  “To be given the opportunity again, this time in MMA leaves me speechless.”

The show will boast some big names in the fight game to help give it legitimacy.  The hosts are MMA legend Bas Rutten and supermodel/actress Joanna Krupa, while the coaches will be Caesar Gracie and established fighters Tara Larosa, Rosi Sexton, and Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos.
“They are all accomplished fighters. I can learn a lot from them.  It will be hard to leave my coaches here in Chicago but I’m use to being taken away from comfort. It will make me that much stronger and that much of a better fighter. I want to make them proud.”
Before she flies out to California for taping Felice has some business to take care of in the cage.  She recently made her MMA debut at the Ultimate Warrior Challenge in Washington, DC dropping a split decision loss to Iman Achhal last month.  The striking specialist is anxious to get her first win inside the cage and will get the chance when she competes in the Lakemoor based Xtreme Fighting Organization in April.  The XFO is one of the top promotions in the Chicagoland area and his headed by respected fighter manager Monte Cox, WEC veteran Jeff Curran, and veteran coach and promoter Dan Lardy.  The event will be XFO 29 and is scheduled for April 10.
“I love fighting, I have had the chance to show what I can do with my standup and I plan to do the same with mma. This is just the beginning of my career in mma. I have alot to learn and who better to learn from then the best!”
