OUTDOOR WAR IS COMING

Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and…MMA. Something like that, right?

If it’s summertime in Chicago it means it’s time for XFO’s annual “Outdoor War”. The event will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in Island Lake, IL. This will be XFO’s 5th Outdoor War. You get 2 shows in one day for the price of one ticket. There is a complete amateur card in the afternoon, then a complete pro card at night. Tickets start at $25, and the pro card features big names and some of the best local fighters:

155- Bart Palaszewski vs. Lucas Gwaltney

205- Mike Marrello vs. Jeremy Horn

155- Mike Corey vs. John Murphy

135- John Hosman vs. Dwayne Shelton

155- Brandon Adamson vs. Mike Dizak

155- Mike Lullo vs. Jay Little

185- Ryan Sturdy vs. Bill Hill

170- Craig Kaufman vs. Dave Terrell

185- Victor O’Donnell vs. Igor Almeida

145-Daniel Rodriquez vs. Dustin Phillips

Kaufman, Sturdy and Hosman all fought in last year’s Outdoor war, which was XFO 25. They all recorded victories and Hosman defended his XFO bantamweight title. He hasn’t lost since and most recently notched his 5th consecutive win by submitting Courtney Landis in the first round at XFO 30.

He faces a tough opponent in Dwayne Shelton. Shelton has fought Cole Miller, Din Thomas and Joe Veres, and all of whom have fought in the UFC.

All the fun starts at 2pm. There’s plenty of food and drink available because Sideouts is a bar and restaurant.
