CHICAGO CAGEFIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 10/16

Chicago Cagefighting Championship returns on October 16th at the Odeum in Villa Park. We told you the card looks great, and now we have the poster to prove it:

McMahan vs. Beebe is a great main event. McMahan is a veteran of the local fight scene, having fought in TFC, Ironheart Crown and C3. He fought at the June 26th Chicago Cagefighting Championship event and knocked out Seth Marquez in the first round. Chase Beebe just beat Pablo Alfonso in the Ruckus Invades Navy Pier Bantamweight Title. Beebe made Alfonso tap from a rear naked choke at 2:32 of round 1. Then Beebe went to Japan to fight Hiroyuki Takaya at Dream 16 just 2 weeks after winning in Chicago. Beebe was KO’d in the first round of that bout. The CCC bout will be his 3rd in 35 days.

Jason Guida just fought Jeff Monson in Florida at Elite Promotions and lost via guillotine in round 2, but we heard he looked really good in that fight before getting caught. The veteran fighter trains and coaches out of Midwest Training Center in Schaumburg. Guida will be fighting Nick “Leatherface” Rossborough, who was on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 7. He lost to Jesse Taylor in his bout on the show.

Mikey Lullo, also out of MTC, will be fighting Tyler Combs at the event. Lullo is in the midst of a 7-fight win streak and won via Omo Plata against Jeremy Castro at Chicago Cagefighting Championship’s June event.

Looks like a good card. Didn’t Beebe just get really badly knocked out on the most recent DREAM fight in Japan, a week or so after he fought on the Ruckus card? He would still be under suspension.

    Mike-

Sorry about the mistake. For all fights I don’t attend I use the database at Mixed Martial Arts. Here’s your record there: http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/f/CA74531F98A5F5FE/Michael-Lullo/

Many sanctioning bodies consider it the official site for records in MMA.

    Best wishes on the 16th,
    Matt

Good question Zeke. I’m sure it has something to do with the fight being in Japan.
