Carson Beebe Wins 5th Straight Fight

Carson Beebe

A few weeks ago Gilbert Grappling’s Carson Beebe told us that he plans on getting to the UFC. He took another step toward that goal last night in Houston.

Beebe took on veteran Tim Snyder in a bantamweight bout at Legacy Fighting Championship 10, and he got to work quickly.

Beebe came out and immediately landed two solid right hands on Snyder, the second one making Snyder lose balance. Snyder was able to remain on his feet, but Beebe shot a double that took Snyder down with ease. Beebe scored several takedowns in the round and had complete control of Snyder on the ground.

The second round started with Beebe moving forward and working Snyder up against the cage. Beebe gave Snyder more of what he did in the first: repeated takedowns and some ground and pound. Snyder’s half-guard continually saved him from being mounted, and also prevented Beebe from catching subs and doing major damage from top position.

HDNet analyst Bas Rutten said, “I think that Snyder actually connected with more punches from his back with more impact than Beebe did to him, he deflected all the punches from Beebe. I don’t think the judges are going to see that though.”

It didn’t seem as if Snyder landed anything of significance, but Beebe was bleeding a bit. But clearly it was his round.

Beebe needed little time to get Snyder to the ground in round 3, but was still unable to pass Snyder’s half-guard. Snyder got off the ground near the end of the round and threw a flying knee that slightly connected with Beebe’s neck but didn’t hurt him.

Beebe won a unanimous decision with scores of 30-27 on all three cards for his 5th straight win. He improved to 10-1 as a pro.
