United Combat League Ready for Second Event

Mike Davis’ United Combat League returns for its second event, this time in the Western suburb of Woodridge on June 14th.

Davis was thrilled with both the fan response and the action in the cage at the first UCL event on May 23rd.

“The last event at Bourbon Street was one of the most successful shows that we had ever had at that venue,” Davis said.

“The card was packed with great fights and a main event that brought the house down. It wouldn’t surprise me if in years to come we saw a few of the guys that fought (in UCL 1) on TV.”

The event at Bourbon St. featured a fierce title fight between Kenny Jordan and Danny Somers, with Jordan taking the UCL featherweight title

“In many people’s opinions Kenny Jordan is the hottest 145 prospect in the entire Midwest. Purdue wrestler Jason Martin also made his MMA debut as well,” added Davis.

Martin proved ready for the cage by defeating the always tough Darrel Edmonson.

The next event and ticket information is on the poster below.
