Flawless Fighting Championship makes its debut on August 4th at the UIC Forum, featuring international fighters as well as some of the Chicago area’s best pros.

Flawless FC CEO Deividas Markevicius said that Chicago was an easy choice for the promotion’s debut event.

“I have lived in Chicago for over a decade, so that was a ‘no brainer’ on where we will have our first show. For the second show we planned to go to Japan, but we’ve decided to have one more here in Chicago before we make a move to Japan,” Markevicius said.

Local fighters Adam Ward, Will Brooks, Chase Beebe, Jason Graves, Ed Carpenter, Maurice Greene and Giovanni Moljo will all be on the card.

Markevicius is looking forward to one fight in particular, the matchup between Macedonian fighter Oliver Petrovski and Gilbert Grappling’s Adam Ward.

“Oliver is a national hero in his home country of Macedonia and he is a superstar there, but he’s not known in the US,” Markevicius said.

“Adam Ward will be a great opponent for him to test his skills. Adam is awesome fighter and one of the best in Chicagoland. And to make it more interesting, it seems Adam started throwing verbal jabs at Oliver on Facebook. So far no response from Oliver, maybe he is waiting for fight night to say something back to him in the cage. Everyone in Macedonia is anxious to see how he does here in the US,” Markevicius said.

Flawless will be the only US-based feeder promotion into its parent company Sengoku, and they plan to have one more event in Chicago before the end of the year.

Markevicius says fans can expect all-out wars inside the Flawless cage.

“There will be no easy fights for anyone. I am matchmaking myself and I have run into managers who want to get their fighter on the show and at the same time give me an opponent for him. Sorry, that is not happening. Fans can expect not to see any one-sided fights, where even before fighters get in the cage pretty much everyone knows who will win.”
