APFC: MMA Unleashed 9-22-12

Jason Belyew and Daniel Szwab will fight for American Predator FC’s vacated light heavyweight title on September 22nd at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, according to a source close to the promotion.

Both fighters are coming off victories. Midwest Training Center’s Szwab powered through Dan Almario at Summer Brawl, scoring a TKO win less than two minutes into the first round.

Belyew (2-2-1), fighting out of Illinois Martial Arts Academy, pounded out Tim Phinney at Rumble on the River’s 10th Anniversary show, registering a convincing win in his 205lb. debut.

APFC’s light heavyweight title has been vacated by champion Josh Estrada, who has turned pro and made a drop down to middleweight. Estrada will make his pro debut at XFO’s upcoming “Outdoor War” on August 18th.

APFC’s “MMA Unleashed” will feature several championship bouts.

Oliver Vasquez will defend his lightweight title against Kevin Thomas. Vasquez has already defeated Thomas once for a belt, scoring a unanimous decision win for Rumble on the River’s lightweight title back in April.

Louie Boulahanis will defend the welterweight title he won at MMA at the Max, taking on Rob Caulfield. Caulfield is the Total Fight Challenge welterweight champion, beating Dinisio Gilbert by rear naked choke to retain his title.

Hackney Combat’s Mike O’Connor will fight John Jones for the middleweight title. Sean Gee will fight 135lb title and Chad Mashinter will fight for the 145lb, with their opponents to be determined at a later date.
