Hidden Talent MMA: Who's Next 4

by Matt Lo Cascio

Hidden Talent MMA returns to the Lake County Fairgrounds Saturday with “Who’s Next 4”, featuring a flyweight title fight and a card full of local amateur battles.

Hidden Talent CEO Darrell Romanos can’t wait for the main event, the 125-pound, flyweight title fight between Carlos Hernandez and Angel Cabrera.

“The fight I’m looking towards the most is the 125 title fight between Carlos Hernandez and Angel Cabrera because Combat Do puts in work and has an elite group of amateur fighters, so they will be coming for war. Angel has been doing multiple sessions of training. Grinding day in and out I feel will give any competitor a true challenge,” Romanos told Chicago’s MMA.

The card will feature fights from every weight division except heavyweight, but Romanos is bringing the big boys for this card. Super heavyweights (265+) Evan Page and Colby Gibson will likely supply the stand-and-bang portion of the card.

Romanos is also amped to see the debut of Energy MMA’s Rollie Baguisa, who will fight Mike Richards in a bantamweight battle.

“I’m excited to see and host the debut of Rollie Baguisa from Team Energy.  I saw his Muay Thai debut when he was in high school and I remember saying after his fight that if this young kid stays training he will be a massive force in the sport of MMA.

“His father and I talked about having him on one of my previous events, but unfortunately shortly after our talks he was in a serious car accident that sidelined him. He’s been back to a full rigorous training schedule and he’s looking sharp, ready to war,” Romanos said.

Two other fighters to watch for are Jonathan Quinlan and Matt Crowley. They put on an amazing fight at Who’s Next Round 3, and they will both be on this card.
