Taking a look at some of the best bets for UFC Fight Night 74: Holloway vs. Oliveira.
Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira
Holloway hasn’t lost since fighting Conor McGregor back in 2013. He’s one of the fighters who is truly improving each and every time he enters the Octagon. Oliveira is a good fighter and fun to watch, but he has faltered when up against the better fighters in his division. Oliveira has losses to Edgar, Swanson, Cerrone and Jim Miller. Netbet Sports Betting has Holloway at -255, but he’ll be worth it as he starches Oliveira, and makes his way toward a rematch with McGregor. But the next time they fight it will be for the title.
Best Bet: Holloway -255
Neil Magny vs. Erick Silva
This is my upset special for UFC Fight Night 74. Magny was taken to school by Demian Maia in his last fight, but he is a legit top-15 welterweight who had won seven straight fights before that loss. I’m not going to get all excited about Silva finishing an aging Josh Koscheck. He eats a ton of punches, and Magny has the length and speed to keep Silva from getting inside. I not only think Magny will win, but I think he will finish Silva, too.
Best Bet: Magny +140
Maryna Moroz vs. Valerie Letourneau
Maryna Moroz may have just one fight in the UFC, but after submitting Joanne Calderwood in her debut, she says she’s ready to take the title from Joanna Jedrzejczyk. I’m not sure about that — yet — but I am sure that Valerie Letourneau has not the speed nor power to keep Moroz at bay. I think Moroz, who is a member of the Ukraine national boxing squad, will treat Letourneau the same way she treated Calderwood — stun her with speed and accuracy in striking, then let her ground game finish the deed.
Best Bet: Moroz -205
