Akihiro Gono is no stranger to our “Killer Finishes” series. We have his rib-breaking kick on Ivan Salaverry from Shooto 1 over 10 years ago, and we also have Gono on the wrong end of a Dan Hornbuckle kick at Sengoku 9.
Here Gono gets finished in a hurry by Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler, who just has too much speed and power for the crafty vet at Bellator 67.

Bellator is back for season 6 and they’ve already had two amazing highlights. Last week it was Pat Curran’s vicious knockout of Joe Warren. This week, Brian Rogers provides the fireworks in taking out Vitor Vianna. Perhaps we need to add this to our list of the best flying knees in MMA history.

Ben Saunders had been undefeated in his Bellator fights heading into his match with Douglas “The Phenom” Lima. Then this happened:
“I knew it was there. We worked on that a lot last week; duck the left hook, come back with the right straight. It worked out great,” Lima said. “I’m glad I got the win. It was hard but it paid off. Hats off to Ben. He’s the greatest guy. He’s a great fighter.”
Bart Palaszewski’s Rapid Fire KO
Bart Palaszewski couldn’t have asked for a better UFC debut. He kept working the jab to keep Tyson Griffin at bay and kept the fight standing in the process. Then when he had his chance, he capitalized with a killer finish that earned him “Knockout of the Night” honors, and a cool $75K to boot.

He knocked out Griffin and may have knocked him out of the UFC, too.
