Former TUF contestant Abe Wagner has put together some nice wins of late. He did lose to Aaron Rosa at Titan 17, but needed just :30 to finish Tim Sylvia at Titan 16. He most recently fought Justin Grizzard at Victory Fighting Championships 35, and here is the video from that fight, courtesy of HDNet.

July 12, 2011 by Matt
Kim Couture is still fighting in MMA, and recently fought in AX Combat against Sheila Bird. Couture ended up in the bottom in north/south position, and it was uh-oh time after that.
Unfortunately she was out for what seemed like forever. According to MixedMartialArts.com, Couture dropped to 2-5 with the loss, and now MMA Junkie is reporting that she fought Bird while she was under medical suspension. The ref in the bout is also under investigation after this video went viral around the web.

This is Jamie Norton vs. Dre Milley from X Series: Rsing Fight League on June 25th.
Pat Curran’s Peruvian Necktie
June 26, 2011 by Matt
The weight cut to 145 did not sap any of Pat Curran’s speed or power in his first round fight of the Bellator featherweight tourney. Curran controlled the fight from start to finish, and he made the crowd jump out of their seats not once, but twice.
The first highlight came when he floored Luis Palomino with a right-hand that was reminiscent of his KO against Mike Ricci here in Chicago. Then comes Curran works a sub chain and ends up submitting the Peruvian with a Peruvian Necktie.

May 12, 2011 by Matt

Shall we call this the “Rib Breaker” or “Spinning Back Kick of Death”? Another from our “Killer Finishes” series. This one is from Shooto 1 in 2001, Akihiro Gono vs. Ivan Salaverry.

Very similar to Toby Imada’s inverted triangle submission of Jorge Masvidal at Bellator 5.
