Midwest Training Center’s Jason Guida went the distance with former pro-wrestling star Bobby Lashley at  the boxing/MMA card “March Badness.”  In the end Lashley walked away with a unanimous decision win.

Guida was a late replacement for Ken Shamrock, who was suspended by the California Athletic Commission for testing positive for steroids.    He has now lost his last four fights and his overall record drops to 17-20.

Although Guida  lost on all the judges cards he did have the former WWEer in trouble in the third round, catching the American Top Team member in a guillotine choke.  Jason could not force the tap, although Lashley admitted in the post-fight interview Guida was close.

Despite improving to 2-0 Lashley is not drawing the same reviews Brock Lesnar is garnering.  The feedback on the popular message boards on Mixedmartialarts.com and Sherdog.com indicate Lashley has not adopted as well to mma as the current UFC Heavyweight Champion.

In other notable action Jeff  Monson defeated Roy Nelson by unanimous decision, while on the boxing side of the card Roy Jones, Jr. beat Omar Sheik by TKO in the fifth round.
