MMA Global Invasion

Local fighters Jeff Curran and Kerry Schall will be fighting in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on December 10th at Nemesis Fighting’s MMA Global Invasion.

It’s very interesting to see Schall making a return to the cage, almost two years since his last appearance. He has been promoting events like Fire Extreme MMA during this time, as well as managing fighters like Brandon Williamson.

Schall will take on another former UFC fighter in Paul Buentello. The two fighters have a combined 75 pro fights, against such opponents as Fedor, Alistair Overeem, Dan Severn, Ben Rothwell, Gary Goodridge, Tank Abbott and more.

Since leaving the WEC, Curran has fought in Strikeforce, XFO and Bellator. Now he heads south to the DR to battle Travis “T-Train” Marx. Marx holds a professional record of 15-2, but he is coming off a September loss to a fighter that was 0-1.

The event also features Jeremy Horn, Keith Jardine, Eliot Marshall and Chicago-area fighter Terry Martin. Martin will take on former WEC fighter Marcus Hicks.

UPDATE: Curran says he is fighting in XFO on December 4th, so that would take him out of this event.

Thanks Brent!
