Will Brooks fights Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night in Oregon on Saturday. Now 18-1, Brooks earned a victory in his UFC debut against Ross Pearson. He’s won nine straight fights, one of them avenging his only loss, a unanimous decision win against Saad Awad.
Next up is Oliveira, a non-ranked fighter, but one who is very dangerous and has won four of his last five, the loss coming against Donald Cerrone.
In the video below, Brooks talks about growing up in Douglas Park, the sometimes tempestuous relationships he had with family, and he opens up about how he was near his breaking point.
